We're celebrating the first day of Spring with a snow storm in Maine. I refuse to believe that the snow will last for long and will march ahead by sharing my bunny softie with you. Easter comes early this year but there's still time to stitch up my newest PDF pattern, Pop- up Bunny. Here's a glimpse of how this long eared cutie comes in and out of his flowerpot.
This interactive toy will have babies and toddlers planting and harvesting the bunny and carrots over and over again. All the pieces stitch up quickly on your sewing machine and only require the tiniest amount of hand stitching to give the bunny a face. All you need is some felt and fleece and printed cotton scraps.
To insure good results I go through many test models before getting a design perfect. Here's a studio outtake of Fletcher Fox roasting one of my early bunny prototypes. For the sake of full disclosure my daughter was home from school that day and orchestrated this shoot.
If you've never used one of my patterns before here's a glimpse of the hand drawn illustrations that I create to accompany the steps. My goal is to make the instructions and templates very clear and easy to follow.
Please enter my giveaway and become one of the lucky download winners. If you stitch up Pop-up Bunny please tag me #heidiboydcrafts, I love seeing my patterns come to life!
