Happy Fall! I adore this time of year, the changing tree leaves and mushrooms fill the woods with bursts of color. Nature makes the perfect background for my kits. I've been toting a little bag of softies along on my dog walks. When I see an ideal spot I stop and set up fun little photo shoots. The other advantage of the fall is I'm not fighting off black flies or mosquitoes while I'm fussing with these little cuties.
The moss, pine needles and lichen make a richly textured carpet for scurrying little Mousey Mushroom and Prickles.
When I stumbled upon this fallen birch tree, I knew the black and white bark would offer the perfect contrast for Frisky Foxes orange felt.
And watching over everything is this sweet Gnome made from my PDF pattern. He looks right at home in the woods, the effect is almost magical.
I gave him a little twig walking stick and filled his bag with little pinecones.
Every owl should be as lucky to live in huge old growth pine tree like the one behind my 'Hoot' hoop kit. Nearby I found the perfectperch for the mama owl and owlet from my Owl Love kit.
This week I've heard the loud 'clunks' of acorns falling on the roof over my studio. A sure indication that it was time to set up my Scampering Squirrels and their traveling acorn home. Please take a moment to enter the raffle for a chance to win a fun crafting kit for cool fall evenings.
